fresh organizer
medium: cement/mortar & spearmint
date: october-december 2004

To deliver a message of self-sustainability, interaction through caring for something living, and a reminder of the real world outside technology, I decided to move the outdoors indoors—considering designs involving plants in modern, urban, and/or or high-tech indoor settings. Here, an intergration of a spearmint into the existing desk organizer. Besides simply adding foliage to the workplace, the user cares for the plant and in turn can freshen his or her breath before that big meeting.
